In the second edition of The Sharks Quiz Juniors , two schools have proven to be almost invincible throughout their journey towards the trophy. This is not very shocking because the two did same in the Maiden Edition of the Junior Sharks Quiz. They are none other than Delhi Public School (DPS) International and Ghana Christian International High School (GCIHS).
They have proven their worth in the competition for the past two years, beating schools by effortlessly oozing class. Watching the two battle it out throughout the competition gives you a feel of the magic the contestants work on stage. The speed and accuracy of both schools is almost unbelievable.
The maiden edition of The Sharks Quiz saw Ghana Christian International High School and Delhi Public School battle it out in the final. Christian High prevailed in the hotly contested final last year, overcoming their opponents by a mere five points.
For the second year running, both schools have qualified for the final, setting up a rematch which would provide DPS with the perfect opportunity to get their revenge. The DPS team for this year’s edition includes Adam Seidu and Shriman Jha, two stalwarts of last year’s team that reached the final. DPS will hope that their team’s dexterity and experience will take them a step further than they went last year.
Ghana Christian International High School, however will be no walk over. They have not lost any of their matches in the competition so far and their team boasts the electrifying duo of Jason Acheampong and Jormi Clive- Plange, two brilliant science whizzes who have consistently lit up the competition in the STEM round.
The defending champions could take the trophy back home or a new champion could steal the crown. They are two excellent schools with amazing ability ready to finish it off. It’s an almost unpredictable match.

After working hard to progress through the competition, Ghana Christian International High School and Burma Camp JHS met in the semifinals of The Sharks Quiz to battle it out for a place in the final. Both schools knew the importance of this contest and they were not about to let this opportunity slip. Before the contest even started, the cheering teams of both schools were already screaming on the top of their voices, cheering their teams on. Before a single question had even been asked, a battle had already ensued!
The first round ended with Chrisitian High gaining a 40 point cushion. They obtained sixty points whilst Burma Camp JHS ammased 20 points.
In the second round, there was a low-scoring draw as both schools gained a mere points total of 15 points each. The third round would either make or break the schools’ hopes of qualification to the final.
As had seemingly become their modus operandi, the defending champions put on an amazing show in the third round. Burma Camp JHS were not able to amass any points and Ghana Christian International High School obtained 40 points. Christian High hoped to finish it off in round 4.
Ghana Christian International High School finished it off in the fourth and final round, where they beat Burma Camp JHS by 20 points.
At the end of the competition, the scores read 130 to Ghana Christian International High School and 30 to Burma Camp JHS. Burma Camp were debutants in the competition and it was an extremely impressive feat that they reached the final four. Christian High had reached the final once again and were hoping to emerge victorious for the second consecutive time.
After an earlier win in the round of 16 against Osu Home JHS, Ghana Christian International High School faced Tender Care Preparatory School from Wa in the quarter finals of The Sharks Quiz . Christian High were hoping to continue their title defence whilst Tender Care, despite being newcomers, had excelled and performed exceptionally well in the competition. This was undeniably going to be an interesting competition.
By the end of round 1, the defending champions were stunned as their Wa counterparts stormed into a 10 point lead.
Christian High stayed calm and hit back in the second round. They amassed 50 points to their opponents’ 35. The champions were back in the lead. Going into round 3, both schools knew that it would more or less be the decider.
Christian High did the damage in round 3, they ended that round with forty points and their opponents were only able to obtain 10 points . It was as a result of speed, accuracy and teamwork that Christian High were able to overcome the Tender Care team in this round.
In the fourth and final round, the defending champions finished it off by beating their opponents by 10 points. Tender Care ended the contest with 90 points and this was unfortunately not enough to beat the defending champions who had amassed a total of 140 points. The Christian High cheering team was roaring with excitement . Christian High had taken a huge step towards the defence of the trophy and they were through to the semi finals. Tender Care’s impressive campaign, however, had come to an unfortunate end.
